In comparison with metal and plastic pallets wooden pallets are cheaper on a like-for-like basis, are easier to repair than other materials, are recyclable and, of course, made from renewable sources. It is also believed that wooden pallets provide more frictional grip on the surface area, thus reducing the possibility of a load shifting during transportation.
