Back to work on Monday – and ready to go

The mill re-opens on Monday 8th January after a break for the holidays and the chance to catch up on some much-needed maintenance.

We’re more than ready for action with vast stockpiles of logs waiting to go through the mill. The logs in the picture will keep us going for a day. All of the logs we process come from UK forests, this pile coming from the historic Bradford Estate, not far from us, which has been in the ownership of the same family since the days of William the Conqueror.

There, as elsewhere, a new crop of trees will be planted to replace those felled. The process of planting, maintaining, harvesting, transporting and milling creates much needed jobs in rural areas and has a wonderfully positive environmental impact. We’re proud to be part of it!
